Job Description

We are pleased to announce a vacancy for the position of an Ac Technician within Westgate shopping mall. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meetsthe criteria indicated below;

Brief Description
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and collaborating with all other departmental heads,th eposition holder will be responsible for performing crucial duties including but not limited to the following;

Key Responsibilities
• Install split units, cassette units, ducted systems, and central air conditioning infrastructure.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults safely using multimeters and other system testing equipment.
• Repair cooling system components, including compressors, thermostats, condensers, and evaporators.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance, refrigerant gas refilling, filter cleaning, and system leak detection.
• Perform system inspections and testing to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
• Respond promptly to service calls, breakdowns, and emergency maintenance requests.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and service reports.
• Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety regulations, building codes, and standard operating procedures.

Job Requirement

• Education: Certificate or Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, HVAC, or Electrical Engineering from a recognized TVET institution or technical college.
• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of proven hands-on experience working with air conditioning and cooling systems.
• Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of refrigeration cycles, single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and HVAC troubleshooting techniques.
