Job Description

We are pleased to announce 1 vacancy in the position of an Electrician in the Maintenance Department within Westgate Shopping Mall Limited . In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below:

Brief Description
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the position holder will be responsible for installing,maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and electronic equipment.
Key duties and responsibilities:

Installation & Assembly
• Plan and execute electrical wiring plans for lighting, power, intercom, and control systems.
• Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, safety components, and distribution boards.
• Run conduits, pull wires through walls, and connect wiring for both low and high-voltage equipment.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, equipment failures, and wiring issues.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using tools like multimeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Perform periodic preventive maintenance inspections to prevent system breakdowns.
• Repair or replace faulty wiring, equipment, and fixtures

Compliance & Safety
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to plan work.• Ensure all work complies with EPRA and localized regional regulations.• Follow strict safety procedures, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a hazard-free work environment.


Job Requirement

• Certificate or Diploma or equivalent in electrical engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in electrical technology roles.
• Diagnose electrical malfunctions using tools like ammeters and oscilloscopes, safely replacing damaged parts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Adhere strictly to electrical safety procedures and local or national electrical regulations to prevent hazards.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
